Welcome to Our Grade C Adventure!

We are so excited to share with you our new crafting adventure! Please join us often to see and experience more fun paper-crafting fun!

So…a little while ago, Rach and I got to talking about our lives. (It wasn’t quite as heady as that–I think it started with looking for reasons to eat chocolate and then led to complaining about laundry and then…well, you get the picture.) Anyway, we got into the idea of trying something we never have tried before. As crafty-type-people, we have always had tons of fun creating, well…just about anything. And as Stampin’ Up demonstrators, we have seriously bonded over paper and glue. (Rach reminded me just now to mention glitter and the important role it has played in our lives…) We are chicks with glue sticks. Girls with paper curls. Tramps with stamps. Sublimes with design. We could go on. But we’ll stop now.

Back to our talk. We agree that we need something new. Something sparkly. Something exciting. In short, we need an adventure. But where to begin? There are, after all, an awful lot of different kinds of adventures.
Grade A Adventures involve life-risking, but life-affirming activities. An example of a Grade A Adventure would be getting yourself launched into space with 10,000 pounds of rocket fuel strapped to your ass. (We were rejected by NASA. Plus our kids wouldn’t let us.)
Grade B Adventures involve physical hardship with significant spiritual benefits. Running a marathon or climbing Mount Everest would be good examples of Grade Bs. (Rach does all kinds of 10ks and whatnot. I usually cheer from the sidelines. Or my living room.)
Grade C Adventures are really our kind of adventures. The most redeeming feature of our adventures are that they make us feel good and they don’t hurt anybody. (Well, we do cut paper, but we anesthetize it first…)

So, our latest plan, you ask? We have decided to turn our considerable crafting skill to creating our own line of fabulous paper products and then selling them at a booth at our local craft fair, the Village Venture, on October 26, 2014.

Sarah's Cover We have broken down this lofty goal into some workable chunks:First things first, we went through all our Levenger papers and decided what our notebooks should look like. And, using our MDS software from Stampin’ Up, we designed a cover. One for each of us. (Well, a few…actually, seven…eight max.) Rach's Cover

Next, We brainstormed a list of possible products to include. Wow! We really went to town. After this meeting, Rach couldn’t sleep through the night, waking at 3 am to work on crafts and take pictures of her dogs sleeping. (see picture). I was so excited that night I just sat in my bed watching reruns of Friends and twitching.
