We weren’t really sure how to begin the business side of things, being crafters by nature, after all. But we also wanted to be sure that our enthusiasm for hot glue and sequins didn’t obscure the necessity for a sound plan. So we put on our thinking caps. But nothing happened. So we bought a book on business plans and followed the instructions.
We learned that we needed to have a clear idea of what our business will be, and the sort of “flavor” it will be. We did this visualization exercise (it was all very West Coast) and came up with some words to define our work together:
And this led us to develop our logo (which was done with tons of internet searching and looking around at what other people were doing and involved the consumption of way too much sugar).
And here is the result:
