Whew! What a week! We’re late in posting because our lives went sideways for a few days this week. I’m sure you, dear readers, can relate!
So, on to the business at hand, which is busting out of the Watercolor Winter Simply Created Card Kit. Today’s mission: a pocket scrapbook page!
We took the striped card and cut it down to 4×6 and used a gold glitter bar to cover the score mark on that card, then embellished it with a snowflake.
Tip #1: We used glue dots under the top two outer circles only—can you see them? Only the faintest of shadows shows through.
We cut down a white, wood grained card and adhered a gold glitter tree for some sparkle and then added a glittery “happy” embellishment to an envelope, which we also cut down. Removing the top of the envelope also creates a pocket, in which to put mementos and various treasures.
A quick shout out to Sarah’s family for their adventure in ice skating that is depicted in this page. Stori is 14, Trumann is 11 (Tru Stori—get it???) and Sarah’s fabulous husband, Erik, who gets special recognition for supporting Sarah even as she covers literally every surface of their house with glitter and paper scraps. Snaps for Erik!
Tip #2: Black and white photos would look fabulous with this layout, as well as pictures featuring traditional Christmas colors. We decided on these photos, because the family just happened to be wearing tan and red, which coordinates with the kit’s colors. It was meant to be!
Enjoy your weekend and we’ll see you soon!
