Tips for Taking Terrific Photos with Kids
- Turn off your flash and capture their faces in natural light–the shadows add depth and interest.
- Zoom in on their hands, their little feet, their faces.
- Stand way back and take them from a distance.
- Take pictures of them having fun.
- Capture your kids’ real and for true faces with their most natural expressions.
- Use props–balloons are a favorite. Choose a color indicative of the season. Kids love balloons and these pictures always work.
- If it stops being fun, put your camera down. The memories you are making of a happy holiday are more important than any picture you could take.
- Keep your background simple. Lots of activity or busy signs distract from your subject.
Stay Merry!
