Hello, everyone!
Sarah recently came across these pictures while cleaning and was instantly smitten. Here’s the backstory: The day after their family’s Halloween party a couple of years back, they found this stick-on mustache someone had left behind and proceeded to spend the day passing it back and forth and taking turns striking poses. We just love the spontaneity and personality these pictures have.
Similarly, the other three pictures were taking while Sarah visited family in Northern California. They are of her sister, Becky, and Sarah’s two children, Stori and Trumann. (Tru Stori—get it???) These pictures capture the wonderful relationship the kids have with their Aunt Becky and are just beautiful and wonderful and great.
So, of course, they needed to be scrapbooked!
We used the Best Day Ever paper and stamp set, along with the Circles Framelits Dies for the embellishments.
We stamped the flowers with Calypso Coral on Whisper White Cardstock and then cut it in strips and staggered them in height as a base for the pictures, then we cut out solid circles, as well as circle frames and just played with them until they looked right.
Here’s a tip: if you want your pictures to look great on the page, choose a paper that coordinates with the clothing the people in the picture are wearing. If you really want to use a paper and the subject of the picture clashes horribly, try printing the picture with a sepia, black and white or antique finish.
Have a fantastic day!
