Introducing our Better Not Pout Suite
A Visit from Finders Keepers
By Sarah Innerst-Peterson
‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there;
Then out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
What I saw next left me quite agog
A sleigh pulled by Poms and loud Corgi dogs!
With two little drivers so bright in their sleigh,
I knew in a moment it must be F.K.
More rapid than eagles their coursers they came,
And they whistled, and shouted, and called them by name:
“Now, Paper! now, Die Cut! now Scissors and Sparkly!
On, Glitter! on, Chocolate! on, Inky and Barklay!
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down the chimney the two crafters came with a bound.
They were both dressed in sweaters, by talented knitters,
And their clothes were all covered with powder and glitter;
They laughed as they spoke, and gave me a box
whose contents overwhelmed and put me in shock:
a memory album called Better Not Pout.
I knew I would love it—of this there’s no doubt.
From the moment I saw it my heart beat much quicker
As I spied the rich colors, the ribbon, the stickers.
There are pages with Santa and small wooden trees
and that fussy cut reindeer brought me to my knees!
It’s nostalgic and sweet and filled with good feelings
With plenty of stuff for my craftiest leanings.
There are places for family photos galore
From first page to last, so much to adore!
The gals flew off, calling, “You can find us online
And you’ll love all our freebies—they’re simply divine!”
I stayed up for crafting ’til the sun’s earliest rays
And they say my heart grew 3 sizes that day!
See you soon!
