Making Wishes

Today’s project is another Watercolor Winter mash up, made especially for all of you holiday lovers out there.

It’s a wish book! This is a project perfect for giving to a grandchild or friend—or keeping for yourself. This project reminded us that making wishes is always important. Wishes bring hope and whimsy into our lives. They connect people and give us something to get up for.

But enough of our soap-boxing! Here is the project:

It was really so simple to make. We used graph paper (which we have lying around in abundance, what with all the kids and algebra and all…), cut in half and folded to make the pages.

The Tips:

  1. We trimmed the pages just a smidge so that they would fit inside the card.
  2. Before glittering the letters, we did a wash of Lost Lagoon.
  3. When glittering the letters, Sarah used an extremely thin layer of Tombow and then sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds.
  4. To keep the pages from slipping out, we cut a small notch at the top and bottom of the spine and wrapped some twine around, finishing with a knot. (But wouldn’t a little tassel be fabulous, too??)

Tomorrow we’re off to the Occasions Catalog Premiere and when we get back, we’ll have loads to share!

Happy Tuesday!
